RE: Loud water pump on our 2006 Niagara

If yours is anything like mine it is directly attached to a cabinet wall or floor boards. Mine wasn't too bad, but I put in a small accumulator tank that holds the pressure longer so the pump only comes on half as much. Of course it stays on longer to re-pressurize. Some of the noise came from the hard plastic piping vibrating. I used some flex hose to install the tank and that helped some also. Others have installed either rubber or foam backing or stand-offs to decouple the pump from the sounding board cabinet wall. The last and most expensive solution is to replace the pump with a quieter model such as a shur-flo whisper king. RE: Storage Mods

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/categories/rooms/childrens_room/12019-2/ Maybe something like this from Ikea would pacify your anti-plastic feelings (at least somewhat). Wood frame with various sized plastic bins that can be interchanged. Horizontal or vertical units. $pace @ce Mike Up, Not trying to start something, my question is just out of curiosity on my part: What the heck do you keep in your cabinets if your girlfriend does not like to bend over to get stuff out of them? Seems sort of like a waste of good storage space and then you have to tote and load extra plastic bins to keep stuff in. I don't mean to offend, just curious . Mainly paper plates, plastic cups, dish soap, plastic silverware, spices, and the such. I had them in the cabinet under the sink but she absolutely hates having to bend over to get them, then bend back down to put them away. So she just left them on top of the cabinet and as I said, I hate clutter. So the plastic drawers now house all of that and some other stuff that required getting on my hands and knees to access. Like I said, mediation. Mikes idea of woodgrain tape would be nice, but the shelves are really not needed IMO. It was just a quick way to make peace. :) I'd like to find another way of keeping the clutter down but in another way. I figure it out. Have a good one.
